Fiesta Fours a fantastic success!

The annual Woombye Bowls Club Fiesta Fours was another fantastic success.

Held for more than two decades, this year the Club opened the comp from a Ladies to Mixed Event, making it available for men to play for the first time since its inception.

However it turned out the lady bowlers were too keen to sign up and leave the hubbies at home, and an all-female contingent signed up - in total there were 24 teams comprising a massive 96 female bowlers descending on the ever-immaculate Woombye greens.

Playing two games of 18 ends, there was plenty of camaraderie with bowlers coming from north Gympie to the south of Bribie Island.

The winners were The Waves Caloundra - Liz Taylor’s team.
